Step by step guide to your home skincare routine
Firstly get your products ready - you need a Cleanser, Facial spritz/mist, Facial oil or serum.
If you have some aromatherapy based products, even better as you can benefit from the aromas of the essential oils. In my facials and at home, I use Juno Skincare and De Mamiel products, as I like to treat all my senses as well as my skin, they smell divine.
Before you apply each product, warm it in your hands and place your hands in front of your nose. Take a nice deep breath in, starting from the tummy, all the way up to the chest and out through the mouth with a nice sigh on the out-breath.
If you have time, do this a few times. This will allow the essential oils and beautiful aromas to affect the sense of smell.
Give your skin a good cleanse and work your fingers back and forth across the cheeks, especially the bigger muscles between the cheeks and jaw.
Wash off the cleanser, splash with some cold water, as this is always good to help the circulation.
Spritz the face with your toner, hydrating mist for some hydration and take off any excess.
Apply your facial oil or serum, again breathing to start with.
If you feel like you want to give yourself ane extra special treat follow your daily skincare ritual with a luxury facial massage.
Step by step guide to your DIY luxury facial massage
We are all suffering with a little bit of jaw and face tightening at this time, due to extra stress, so this will help alleviate some of that tension.
Place your first 3 fingers in the middle of the cheeks and rock them back and forth over the cheeks, you will then feel any tension spots you can spend a little time on to help break that down, getting some blood flow to the muscles.
Then place your first 2 fingers at the temples and slide them up and down, relieving any tightness at the temples.
Using your first fingers, do a criss-cross motion back and forth over the forehead.
Sliding the first finger either side of the nose in an up and down motion and drain out across to the ears.
Use the same motion in-front of the ears up and down from top to bottom of ears.
With alternate hands, slide up the neck, with your hands cupped from one side to the other and back again.
Finishing with some drainage from the centre of the face to the hairline to drain the lymph and toxins of the face. Starting on the forehead, cheeks and then jawline.
This should take you about 5 minutes, but you can extend this to whatever time you have. Enjoy and I’m sure you will feel and benefit from the difference, even if you do this once a week. Happy Facetime!
